A More Thorough Look Behind the Recipes
Our bodies are so magnificently designed, that we are typically able to go on with our everyday lives, blissfully unaware of all of the potential issues that are just waiting to become symptomatic. The truth is, we are under constant bombardment from bacteria, viruses, pathogens, gene mutations, parasites, even cancer cells. Thanks to the proper functioning of our immune system, the majority of these issues are eradicated before they ever materialize. But have you noticed that it seems like more and more people are contracting severe illnesses, despite ever improving research and healthcare?
Thanks to the rise of nutrigenomics, the integration of genetic health and nutrition, it is becoming evident that the missing link is the decline of our nutrition. According to the National Center for Biotechnology Information, "Although genes are critical for determining function, nutrition modifies the extent to which different genes are expressed and thereby modulates whether individuals attain the potential established by their genetic background." In other words, our bodies have been designed to function at peak performance, but when we constantly clog them up with chemicals, preservatives, and all things processed to the point of the depletion of almost all natural nutrients, that performance starts to degrade exponentially.
